Meserani Rainbow School (Arusha, Tanzania)
Neema Tajiri is a six year old girl at our Meserani School in Tanzania. Her favorite color is blue and her favorite subject in school is Swahili. Her favorite things about going to Meserani School is being able to read the books and study. When she grows up she wants to become a teacher. She lives with her mother and father about an hour walk away from school where she helps her mother by sweeping and other household chores.
Wilson Sabaya is a 7 year old boy at our Meserani School. Like his co-student of the month, his favorite color is blue and his favorite subject is also Swahili. His favorite part of the school is music where he loves to sing. When he grows up he wants to become a doctor so can help heal people like the doctor who regularly checks up on the students and local community of Meserani. His daily walk is much shorter only being about 5 minutes. He also lives with his mother and father where he helps cleaning their home.




Safina Elias is a 5 year old girl from the Meserani school. Her favorite color is white. Her favorite subject in school is Swahili and she wants to become a teacher when she is older. Safina and her parents live in Lovi, approximately an hour and a half walk from Meserani. When she’s home she helps her parents keep their home tidy by cleaning. Safina’s favorite aspect of going to school is being able to study.
Tumaini Samuel is also a 5 year old girl. She loves the color blue and studying math. She lives about 20 minutes away with her parents where she helps with the daily chores and taking care of the livestock. Like her co-student of the month, Safina, Tumaini also relishes the ability to go to school and study. She in on her path of achieving her goal of becoming a teacher.
