The History
In 2017, life-long friends Zachary Lopez, Director of Operations for HSICF, and Alex Lee, co-owner of FoodieFit Las Vegas, decided to collaborate on a meal-for-meal campaign to benefit the children that the HSICF serves. That campaign was extremely successful and netted over 10,000 meals.
The following year, they came up with the Prepped for School campaign. The Prepped for School campaign’s aim was to provide school supplies for low-income families in Las Vegas. When word spread, Richard Harris Law Firm, the Backstreet Boys and countless other small businesses worked together to give the children at Robert E. Lake Elementary School backpacks filled with all the school supplies they would need for the year.
In addition to the backpacks, the campaign was able to provide the school with an expansion of their herb garden, an outdoor classroom complete with new landscaping, a pergola and whiteboard, and a legacy wall that the school will build on for years to come.
In their sixth year working together, Han-Schneider and Foodie Fit Las Vegas is looking to help three low-income elementary schools in the Las Vegas area.
Join us to ensure that these children are Prepped for School.
