Vietnam Program
The Han-Schneider International Children’s Foundation is always exploring opportunities to support children in need. In 2019, we partnered with the Tam Ky Project who has long ties to the Tam Ky region in central Vietnam. Through their partnership, we are able to reach 12 different schools and serve just under 1,800 children.
Initially, as with all of our programs, we will start with what we know best – food. As we get a better understanding of the children, the communities and their needs, we will look to expand the scope of our work.
Program Aspects
Initially each student will receive a meal a day under this new program. However, this will allow the schools to redirect funds to other enriching educational programs. In September 2023, we funded the construction of a new school in Nam Tra My. We also traveled to Vietnam with a small group of volunteers to participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony and help paint a mural at the school, as well as donated school supplies and water filters.
