Local Children’s Charity Returns From A Humanitarian Trip To Africa

LOS ANGELES, March 20, 2013 – A group of eight staff members and volunteers of Han-Schneider International Children’s Foundation (HSICF) recently returned home from a humanitarian trip to Tanzania (March 1-10) where they visited the Meserani Mission Center, an HSICF-supported organization. Located in the Arusha region of northern Tanzania, the center consists of a chapel, dispensary and a pre-primary school for five- to six year-olds, some of whom are orphans. There are nearly 60 students comprised of children from the local town of Monduli and nearby Maasai villages. Read More   →

HSICF Hosts 4th Annual Silent Auction & Benefit Dinner

LOS ANGELES, Calif., Oct. 31, 2012 – On Friday, Oct. 26, Han-Schneider International Children’s Foundation (HSICF) hosted its 4th annual silent auction and benefit dinner at the Taglyan Cultural Complex in Los Angeles. With nearly 350 attendees and supporters, the event raised more than $32,000 to support orphanages in developing countries including North Korea, Cambodia and Tanzania. In honor of the organization’s late founder Sam Han (1945-2012), the theme of the night was, “Sam’s Legacy Continues – Giving Children Hope,” and it held true as the event drew more guests and raised more money than it did the previous year. LOS ANGELES, Calif., August 16, 2012 – Han-Schneider International Children’s Foundation (HSICF) will be hosting its fourth annual silent auction and benefit dinner at the Taglyan Cultural Center in Los Angeles on Friday, Oct. 26, 2012. The theme for this year’s event, “Sam’s Legacy Continues – Giving Children Hope,” honors the organization’s late founder Sam Han.
